This very much sought after 1982 Honda NCZ50 MotoCompo has recently been imported from Japan.
The Motocompo was introduced as “Trunk bike”, (toranku baiku / tora-bai) to fit inside the boot of their smallest commuter style cars like the Honda City; it was inspired from the World War II-era British Welbike folding motorcycle.
The City's baggage compartment was specifically developed around the Motocompo, which was sold as a factory add-on and not sold separately.
The handlebars, seat, and foot-pegs fold into the scooter's rectangular plastic body to present a clean, box-shaped package of 1,185 mm × 240 mm × 540 mm (46.7 in × 9.4 in × 21.3 in). It was the smallest scooter ever built by Honda.
This bike appears to be missing just it's mirrors.
The bodywork is faded with a few small age related marks.
The wheels look straight and clean but tyres are perrished.
Seat cover is perrished.
Brakes are working.
Handlebars and forks look straight.
Instruments and switches look ok.
We had it starting, running, and revving on easystart spray.
